Interview with Diana Kondeva
Hello, Diana! Please introduce yourself and tell us about your experience so far.
My name is Diana Kondeva , and I am the Deputy Manager and Sales Team Leader at Creditchoice Ltd. I have 16 years of professional experience in lending, 9 of which were spent in a banking institution as a Mortgage Broker and team leader. I have been with Creditchoice Ltd. since its inception more than 6 years ago as Deputy Manager and Mortgage Broker, and since the beginning of 2023, I have also served as a Sales Team Leader.
Tell us about your team.
I lead the team at the second office of Creditchoice Ltd., located at 111 Vasil Levski Blvd., next to the Sofia High School of Mathematics in Sofia. I am responsible for a team of five Mortgage Brokers.
What is important for a team to be successful?
I have always believed that for a team to be successful, it must have a positive attitude toward work, colleagues, and clients, as well as a good spirit and a desire for mutual assistance. Very often, in the absence of colleagues, we have to fill in for each other, and it doesn’t matter whose client it is—everyone is ready to help. Besides being colleagues, we are also friends. We like to have lunch together and share not only professional but also personal experiences, which strengthens the team.
Tell us about your team’s successes over the past year.
From last year to the present, my team and I have served over 350 clients. I am happy that during the annual meeting of the entire Creditchoice Ltd. team in January, we received an award from the manager, Mariya Petkova, for excellent teamwork and sales results for 2023. I am proud that one of my Mortgage Brokers received a special award for the highest performance in the entire company.
What types of clients turn to you?
Clients who value their time and resources turn to us—people who have realised the benefit of our service, which saves them from visiting various bank offices. Sometimes, clients with complex cases who cannot manage on their own come to us. However, most often, clients consult us based on recommendations from their friends, acquaintances, or colleagues. We have clients from various sectors—information technology, transport, pharmacy, manufacturing, and others.
What advice would you give to people who need financing to purchase a property?
I advise clients to take advantage of credit intermediary services because they will save them time, money, and effort. We are specialists and can review bank offers in more detail, compare them, and point out the pros and cons of each, allowing the client to make their own informed choice. Furthermore, when a client finds themselves in a difficult financial situation where a large portion of their income goes toward loan instalments, we will try to find a solution and help optimise their financial expenses through debt consolidation. The sooner they seek help from our experience and knowledge, the better for them.
