Interview with Vesela Georgieva

Hello, Vesela! Please introduce yourself and tell us about your experience so far.

My name is Vesela Georgieva, and I am a Key Account Manager at Creditchoice Ltd. I have been working for the company for 6 years. Before that, I gained over 12 years of professional experience in the banking sector, involving the offering of banking products and services, customer service and consulting, and staff sales skills training.

Tell us about your successes in 2023.

With a great sense of work satisfaction, I can share that I received an award from the manager, Mariya Petkova, for excellent sales results for four consecutive years. Last year, I consulted 91 clients and contributed to the finalisation of 110 loans. I am happy that 9 out of 10 of my clients resulted in successful sales.

What types of clients turn to you?

In my work, I don’t differentiate between clients and I use an individual approach based on the client’s profile, needs, and opportunities. People from all segments and fields of activity turn to me for assistance—salespeople, transport workers, civil servants, IT specialists, and so on.

How do you help a client who wants to take out a loan from a bank?

As a credit consultant, my job is to assist the client throughout the entire credit process. Initially, I organise an introductory meeting with the client to learn more about them. Once I have enough information, I collect a minimum of three offers from different banks, and we analyse their proposals so that the client can make an informed choice. Generally speaking, I assist the client from preparing all the necessary documents to finalising the entire lending process.

How does a meeting between you and your client usually proceed?

I strive to accommodate the client’s time, commitments, and wishes when organising a meeting. Sometimes, if necessary, the first meeting can be online. For me, it is important that the client feels comfortable during the meeting, that we break the ice, so that I can earn their trust. After that, we jointly discuss their wishes and financing needs. Some clients circulate among brokers, banks, and credit consultants, thinking they will find a difference in the bank’s price offer, but this is a huge waste of time. And time is money. Furthermore, they might encounter unfair practices that could be detrimental to them. I want to assure them that our service is entirely for their benefit; we will save them time and money, and we will find the best offer for them.

What advice would you give to people who need financing?

I advise them to turn to a credit consultant for assistance when they need financing, because the consultant will help them receive a better offer from the bank. We have cases where a bank denied a client a loan, then they came to us, we went back to the same bank, and they received approval. The advantage of a credit intermediary is also the ability to exercise their right to choose and receive a minimum of three financing proposals, rather than just entering the first bank they come across.
