Interview with Nonika Gogova
Hello, Nonika! Please introduce yourself and tell us about your experience so far.
My name is Nonika Gogova, and I have been a Mortgage Broker at Creditchoice for about a year and a half. I have 12 years of professional experience in sales within both banking and non-banking institutions.
Tell us about your successes in 2023.
Last year, I consulted 36 clients and facilitated 48 loans. My primary focus is providing consultations for residential mortgages. I also managed to help clients who had taken out numerous consumer loans, which had deteriorated their financial situation. In those cases, we sought refinancing for existing credit obligations with the goal of debt consolidation to reduce their monthly expenses.
What types of clients turn to you?
The clients I am currently consulting are from the mining and manufacturing sectors, as well as software engineers and programmers from the IT sector. Among them are employees of large international companies within their respective industries.
How do you help a client who wants to take out a loan from a bank?
As a Mortgage Broker, my support covers every stage of the credit process, and I strive to ensure that clients are minimally involved in the time-consuming logistics. Residential lending is complex and demanding, which can be stressful for the client. Therefore, our job is to save them unnecessary headaches, time, and money.
How does a meeting between you and your client usually proceed?
My main goal during a meeting is to identify the client’s needs as accurately as possible and to build an atmosphere of trust and understanding. When the client feels calm and can trust me, the process happens much more smoothly. Finances are a sensitive topic, and sometimes clients are hesitant to share details, so I strive to be patient and approach them with care and professionalism. Currently, I have maintained close, positive relationships with the majority of my clients, which I believe is the reason they recommend me to their colleagues and friends.

I always recommend that they seek assistance from a registered credit intermediary, who will save them time, money, and effort. A Mortgage Broker will gather and compare offers from several banks, summarize all the information, and present it in detail to the client down to the smallest specifics. This way, the client is informed of all conditions right from the start, enabling them to make an informed choice. It is important to note that the credit intermediary service is free of charge for the client.
